 Position: DDC Control System Technician

Main responsibilities:

  • System design, installation, programming and servicing of computerized controls, predominantly in the HVAC industry.
     

  • Commissioning responsibilities on small retrofit projects as well as larger new construction installations.
     

  • Preventative Maintenance inspections & relative system testing.
     
     

  • Implementing & developing documentation standards.
        

  • May involve some travel, but majority of time will be spent in the Montreal area.

      Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be "mechanically" oriented, understand basic electrical theory and be computer literate.
      

  • Keen understanding of engineering and able to comfortably read mechanical & electrical drawings.
     

  • Education in Building Automation or Mechanical/Electrical systems would be ideal.
      

  • A good working knowledge of Windows-based computer software (i.e. AutoCAD, Word, Excel) being a definite plus.
    .

  • Fluent with the English and French language.

Dimax Controls has an immediate opening in our Toronto office for an (extraordinary!) Java Programmer to work on product development and maintenance.  This is a full-time position which would include things like:

  • Designing and coding new real time applications to run on single board computers or embedded systems .
     

  • Testing and maintaining previously developed java applications which interface with current Dimax Systems .
     

  • Part of a team to come up with new product ideas, test feasibility and implement them .

 The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in software programming or something relevant.
     

  • 2 years plus experience programming real time java applications .
     

  • Great at problem solving and coming up with creative solutions .
     

  • The desire to be part of a tight knit group of people working hard to outsmart the competition!
     

  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
