Paul Silverthorne
President and C.E.O.

Paul Silverthorne founded Dimax Controls in 1986 as an outgrowth of Multitrol Corporation, which he founded in 1978. As President and CEO, he is responsible for the overall direction of Dimax with particular emphasis on the niche markets we serve.

Mr. Silverthorne has over 35 years of experience in the fields of HVAC and controls. He worked as a project engineer at Giffels and Associates in 1968, followed by HH Angus in 1971. In 1974, he joined Bob Tamblyn and Jim Rose as an associate and consulting engineer in Engineering Interface, a start-up concept consulting firm.

Paul has a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Toronto. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Canada. He has published more than 15 papers in the areas of energy management and controls and was at one time a lecturer at the School of Architecture at the University of Toronto. He has co-authored patents for thermal storage, universal input-output electronics (Dimax) and method for event monitoring and data center (Incerno).
